Changing Roles

July 17th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Two weeks in, and I feel like I’m starting to settle into my maternity leave. In some ways, it feels like a bit of an odd time - I’m not at work but that’s not because I’m sick or because Dan and I are off on holiday, but because we’re preparing for this huge event - an event which you can’t totally prepare yourself for!! At the moment I’m not a worker, or a mum but a mum to be - an excitingly anticipated role! Baby Jam could be born anytime in the next 4 weeks which is a rather odd concept for someone like me who likes to have everything planned down to the last detail! An exercise in going with the flow I think!

3 more angels have been born since I last wrote, Evie Rose was born 1 week ago and twins, Amelia Rose and Charlotte Eve were born on Tuesday! I’m looking forward to meeting them all - and to hearing their mums stories. 3 down and 3 of us to go!

We saw the midwife again yesterday. Baby Jam is still in a great position and all is still well. My iron levels have dipped - they have recommended a good steak which I think my husband can take me out for this weekend! ;-) Latest countdown - 2 weeks and 2 days until EDD (Estimated Due Date!)

Mmmmmmmm, steak! Hope you managed to get out and enjoy a bit of British beef! Pregnancy is a great excuse to have a bit of what you fancy every now and then.. Thinking of such things, have you had any odd cravings over the last eight and a half months?!? I got addicted to crisps… Gx
