… a  title I thought of in the early hours of this morning when I was unable to sleep due to a noisy baby and a dog barking relentlessly somewhere nearby. I guess in some ways it begins to sum up the last few days… We’re having so many good times of just being together and finding out about each other. We discovered that Hannah hates baths… I was worried that she would become the grubbiest child in Eynsham, however she came in with me this evening and seemed to enjoy it a lot more - we even managed to avoid her pooing in her towel this time!!

The last few weeks since Hannah was born, can be summed up in one word - whirlwind!! And amazing! And beautiful… Okay, quite a few words but I have been totally blown away by becoming a mum. Hannah really is the most amazing little human being and it has been a huge learning curve in finding out what she likes, and doesn’t like… what soothes her and what winds her up…. what she needs and when she needs it. To think that so much of her personality is already formed - and I can tell you, she already has quite a temper on her!

Seeing Dan with her makes me love them both even more - he is the proudest Daddy who adores his little girl and the way he cares for us both has been so special. He has a very special bond with Hannah already - one that I can’t wait to see grow and develop. I particularly love this photo of them together…

Thank you to everyone for all your support and kindness - you’ve made it all so much easier! And I hope you like this photo of all the NCT babies - we got together on Monday for the first time with all the babies - Hannah slept through it all! She may be the youngest but is certainly not the smallest weighing in at 10lb 3oz last Thursday!

I hope to be able to write a bit more over the next few weeks now that I’m starting to feel a little bit more on top of things… We’ll see how long that lasts!
