Becs, Hannah and I were invited to take a tractor ride tour of a farm in Salford nr Chipping Norton. The farm is owned by Nigel Fawdry and his father who are 5th and 6th generation farming Fawdry’s. Nigel gave us a really lovely informative tour and told us all about the environmental preservation work that they are doing. Most notably they are leaving three fields fallow for a local barn Owl to hunt in and have also made an Otters den in the hope of encouraging any resident Otters to breed. It was a lovely morning and Vicky and Nigel treated us to tea and cake in their farmhouse. Hannah loved the tractor ride and especially loved it when the tractor stopped and the cows came up close to the trailer.
