This weekend I had the joy of looking after Hannah while Becs enjoyed a spa break away with a friend. Becs and Caroline enjoyed spa treatments, relaxing saunas and swims and did a bit of retail therapy.
Hannah and I spent spent our time yesterday visit our old friends at the baptist church in Eynsham, dining out for lunch with some of them and catching up with Mandy and Dave [sister & bro] over a delicious roast. Hannah travels very well and loved being with everyone. However, we did miss Becs and Hannah began saying “Mama” for the first time which was very sweet. After a nice sleep I kept Hannah in her routine by taking her to Monkey Music. The usual Mums there were very friendly and I fitted right in as I already knew some of songs as they are on our iPod. After playing peekaboo and row-row-row-your-boat we came home, Hannah had a sleep, I watched a few episodes of Lost and we then went to Witney for a little potter around. Then, at just before 5pm, Mummy came home and Daddy Day Care was over.
I loved it and would do it all over again in a heart beat. Fatherhood is wonderful.
